What’s the simplest way to add flavour to your chicken? Chicken Seasoning. You can make this rub recipe in minutes with ingredients you already have. Use this chicken seasoning on any cut of chicken such as chicken breasts, chicken tenders, chicken thighs, chicken drumsticks or when cooking a whole chicken rotisserie. Whether you’re baking, grilling or air frying, this chicken rub works on a variety of cooking methods.
Chicken Seasoning Mix
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sweet paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp dried parsley
1/2 dried rosemary
1/2 dried basil
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (option if you like it spicy)
Step 1: Combine all ingredients into a small bowl.
Step 2: Grab your cuts of meat and rub your seasoning over each piece before cooking. You can first rub your chicken with a bit of olive oil over the chicken to help the rub stick on the meat better.
Step 3: For the most flavour, let the rub marinate on the meat for 1 hour or up to 12 hours in the fridge before cooking. Discard any rub that has come into contact with the chicken.
Step 4: Cook your chicken as desired such as on the grill, in the oven, air fryer or in a slow cooker. The choice is yours.
