Ingredients
- 1kg chicken drumsticks
- 2 cups of BBQ sauce
- Vegetable oil, for grilling
- Juice of 1 lime
- Kosher salt and black pepper
Method
- You want to firstly season your chicken with some salt and pepper.
- Skin side down, barbeque your chicken for about 15 minutes. Turn it over and then baste it with BBQ Chicken or your favourite sauce and some lime. The choice is yours!
- You want to cook an additional 20 to 30 minutes, constantly basting it with your favourite sauce.
- Check the internal temperature of using a meat thermometer (165 degrees) and always makes sure that the juices run clear and not pink. Once it’s done, you can remove your BBQ chicken and let it rest on a plate just for a few minutes before serving it.
- Oh and BTW – your BBQ chicken will last up 3-4 days in the fridge should you want to enjoy it the next day or 2. That is if you haven’t eaten them all in one sitting! If you happen to have some, take some of the chicken and add it to your baked potato or put it in a wrap or sandwich.
