Ingredients
- 300g of steak
- 1 Cup of Cornstarch
- 4 Garlic Cloves (sliced)
- 2 Green Onions (chopped with the stems)
- 1/2 Cup of Soy Sauce
- 1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar
- 1 Fresh Ginger (chopped)
- Vegetable Oil
- Water
- Sesame Seeds
- Salt

Method
- Step 1: Slice the steak into 2.5 cm thick pieces, against the grain and season with salt and pepper.
- Step 2: Toss the steak pieces into cornstarch until evenly coated, then set aside.
- Step 3: Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add some oil. Sauté the ginger and garlic until fragrant.
- Step 4: Add soy sauce, water and sugar and bring to a boil until sugar dissolves. Pour sauce into a measuring cup and set aside.
- Step 5: Place the skillet back over heat and add more oil. Add your steak pieces and sear it until evenly browned on both sides.
- Step 5: Pour the sauce back into the pan and stir together with the meat. Allow the sauce to thicken. Add green onion and continue to simmer until the sauce is thick enough to coat the back of a wooden spoon.
